GDG- The "hot dog" question

Since this was my first muster, I was naturally quite leary about indulging
in the (dare I say) infamous GDG Muster hot dogs. Fortunately the notorious
reputation of these otherwise harmless little sausages did not seem to hold
up under casual observation.

It looked like a hot dog, sat in the bun like a hot dog, and tasted, well,
like a hot dog. Case closed?

Well, not quite. When the announcement was made in GAR Hall that there were
still plenty of dogs left for those who wanted seconds, I have to admit
being a little nervous when initially I was the only one to leave the table
to partake of seconds. I looked over my shoulder to see if anyone was
following. My thought was "did they know something I don'tnot know about
eating more than one of these things?" Fortunately a few others started to
form a line behind.

The saving grace was that Dean Shultz was the chef du jour, and he has a
very reassuring manner about him. Certainly Dean would like be a party to
foisting poor quality merchandise on unsuspecting GDGers, now would he?
