Gettysburg Address Program Will Take Place June 7

David Hartman, News Commentator and Former Host of Good Morning America,
Will Read the Address




On Thursday, June 7, at 4:30 p.m., the public is invited to the
Soldiers'

National Cemetery at Gettysburg National Military Park for a special

program about the cemetery and the Gettysburg Address. Gettysburg

Superintendent John Latschar will begin the program and David Hartman
will

read the Gettysburg Address.



David Hartman was, for more than eleven years, the original host of Good

Morning America. He has produced, written and hosted many hours of

documentaries on American history subjects for PBS and cable TV and
earned

numerous awards, including two National News and Documentary Emmys for

writing.



The program will take place at the Rostrum near the Taneytown Road
entrance

to the cemetery and will conclude by 5:00 p.m. In case of rain, the
event

will take place in the Cyclorama building auditorium, at 125 Taneytown

Road.
