GDG- Maps of Gettysburg

This is a portion of the email I received from Amazon today. My order was
placed April 7th.

"I have checked our records and see that, due to a delay on our end, 
the estimated shipping and delivery dates for your order were 
revised after you placed your order.

Sometimes unexpected fluctuations occur which cause undue delay of 
items to be available.  We solely depend on our suppliers and 
unforeseen delays take place sometimes as in this case.

However, we have now obtained this item and are currently preparing 
your order for shipment.  

It appears that we will be able to ship your package earlier than 
the revised date estimated on our web site as it had entered the 
shipping process on July 3, 2007.  We will send you an e-mail soon 
to confirm the date of shipment."  

Looks like boilerplate to me..........

I was just notified today by Amazon that my copy of "The Maps of
Gettysburg" 
has shipped even though they had told me it would be delayed until  August..

Looking forward to seeing it based on the everything I have heard about  it.
