HERE AND THERE
WITH THE VETERANS

Gettysburg Times
July 2, 1938

Three generations of a family will follow a family tradition and
sleep in the open at Bloody Angle Sunday night.

On July 3, 1863 James Clark, a member of the Volunteer Virginia
Cavalry, slept at the Angle. The night of July 3, 1913, 50 years later,
James Clark, son of the veteran and his son, Griffith S. Clark, slept at the
Angle.

And now, Sunday night, July 3, 1938, 25 years later, Griffith
Clark will uphold a promise he made 25 years ago and will bring his son,
Robert G. Clark, to sleep at the Angle. The father of Griffith also will
sleep there.

Sorry! I should have sent this out yesterday.
