GDG- Alice Powers - July 4

On Saturday morning Dr. James Fulton came into the room where we were
attending the wounded, and told us to come out and sing the ³Star Spangled
Banner,² for the Rebels had gone.  Sure enough when we went to the door, the
last gray-coat was seen going out at the end of the street. With thankful
hearts, yet too sad to sing we hurried back to the rest with the glad news.
