But many of Lee's greatest attacks were not frontal assaults - they were  
flanking attacks (which of course over time devolve into frontal assaults once  
the attacked line reforms).  By contrast, most of the Army of Tennessee's  
attacks were en echelon assaults and they did not perform a flanking attack  until 
the battle of Atlanta in July, 1864!
