Hello,

Someone asked:

>>>How many Cyclorama-style paintings from the war were actually done?>>>

There was one done for Missionary Ridge, completed in 1886, besides those
for Atlanta and Gettysburg. The MR one was first displayed in Chicago and
right across the street was displayed the Gettysburg one. They had buildings
that could be taken apart and transported across the country. In 1892, after
being shown in Chattanooga and Atlanta, the MR cyclorama, all 20,000 square
feet of it, was destroyed by a tornado while in Nashville. There are portions
of it that were copied and have been depicted in some CW books over time
however.
