I believe the "anti" viewpoint comes down to "where is the Union-based 
evidence that you would expect to be generated if Arnold and Cushing had indeed been 
overrun, and then the guns retaken"?  Dismissing its absence as being a 
cover-up is hardly convincing, while the Confederate accounts seem to me to be 
basically a single distorted claim then repeated by a few "sources" in essence 
quoting one another.  You have to look at the whole body of evidence -- what is 
there and what is not, although logic dictates that it should be.
