Yes, there does seem to have been an attitude that the only reality with 
which the ANV had to contend was what was, more or less, in plain sight. And if 
you didn't see it, then you operated on the assumption it wasn't there.  It is 
sort of the reverse of what had infected Mac earlier in the war and what would 
come, perhaps, to haunt Warren's imagination later.
