First of all, make sure that no 1863 accounts make reference to the National
Tower. The absence of such accounts would be proof positive of a cover-up
and, thus, strong evidence in support of your daring new theory.

Personally, I have long thought that the observation platform on the roof of
the Cyclorama Building made a superb defensive position and virtually
guaranteed the failure of any Confederate assault. (But I'll give the Confederates
credit for trying so hard to bring the canvas of the cyclorama to life.)
