As long as you and I and Harry Pfanz agree on this, I guess we are making
progress. Pfanz concluded that "a good many advanced with the left of
Georgians' line." That doesn't mean somewhere to the left, but "with" the
left. Indeed, he points out that they were in verbal communication.  >>

No, it doesn't necessarily mean directly in connection with Wright's left 
flank.  Spacing between even supporting formations was normal, and being in 
verbal communication doesn require two men standing right next to one 
another.
