Not necessarily true at all.  And I think it's unconstructive to think so.
I find in most cases that the contradictions are due to the opposing
participants' viewpoints of an action.

Chuck, wouldn't you agree that even two comrades, side by side and fighting
in the same action, could record things quite differently?  So differently,
in fact, that they would seem to describe two different events when they are
indeed one and the same?

Would that necessarily follow, then, that one is therefore true and one
false?
