I'm seeking here to start with an acceptance of evidence apart from any
interpretation of it. Are we agreed that the Confederate accounts are
consistent that Wright's Brigade crossed the stone wall, breached the Union
line, and captured the Federal guns on the crest of the ridge? >>

No.

<< How many accounts do we have from Arnold's Battery? There is no OR.
Reichert's diary account is understandably brief, yet speaks of distress.
What else is there? >>

You choose to read it as indicating "distress", and evidence that the
battery was overrun, but that's just your take. All Reichert does is make a
very general, non-specific comment, not indicative of any such thing.

<< How many accounts do we have from Cushing's Battery? Again, there is no
OR. Only Fuger's story. Ranger Bert Barnett advised me to be dubious of his
account since he spent decades lobbying for a Medal of Honor (finally
getting it in 1897) and wasn't about to admit to something that might dampen
his chances. >>

Now you're saying that Fuger can't be trusted, and didn't want to mention
that the battery had been overrun, so, therefore it must have been? What
about Cushing? He was still alive went the day was over. Maybe he decided
not to mention it to Hazard either? And nobody in Arnold's battery wanted
to let on that they'd been overrun at the same time? Hazard's got five
batteries in his brigade, and he doesn't find out that 40% of his command
has been overrun? Hunt doesn't notice? Hancock doesn't find out?
