But they also tell much more, such things as charging over the rock fence,
advancing to batteries (plural), carrying the enemy's position, succeeding
in taking the heights, holding the key to the enemy's stronghold, making a
successful charge, storming and taking the crest, cutting the enemy's line
in two, etc.
FWIW, I think the 82nd New York had fallen back due to the threat on their
left by Lang before Wright engaged the stretched advanced line set up by the
15th Massachusetts.
