This guy is absolutely incredible!! He should be an example for everyone who
thinks they are ready for the rocking chair. His spirit and enthusiasm give him
an incredible zest for life. This man wakes up everyday to do what he truly loves.
God Bless him!!!

This might have already been posted as we just receive digests, but just in

>>Ed Bearss broke his arm this morning. He misstepped in his house and fell
>>against the arm. Then he walked to the taxicab stand and started his
>>Smithsonian tour of The Wilderness. At Chancellorsville, he was persuaded
>>to get help. NPS historian Greg Mertz took him for treatment, while NPS
>>historian Frank O'Reilly took over his tour. Ed rejoined the tour for the
>>ride back to the Smithsonian. He will leave for a tour in Texas and
>>Mexico tomorrow, where he will see a doctor to verify that the break is
>>starting to heal correctly. (Monday addition--he did not go on the tour.)
