Absolutely!!!  Gettysburg was the East's turning point for after that.  
fortunes would indeed favor the Union, especially when Grant gets there in  1864.
 
The West had no turning point at all - for the Union was winning from  
Wildcat Mountain onward, with slight blips at Perryville (although Bragg left  the 
state) and Chickamauga (which Bragg did not exploit).
