I sent this out Feb. 15, but haven¹t seen it come up, so will try again.

Zack,

I was excited to see and pleased to read your article on the 59th New York
in the Gettysburg Magazine. My great-great uncle, Milton Gage, fought with
Co. A, 59th New York for the 4 years of the war. So little has been written
on the 59th New York. You make reference to R. L. Murray¹s material which I
have also read, however, I was not aware of your reference to Daniel A.
O¹Mara¹s ³Proceedings of the Associated Survivors of the Fifty-ninth
Regiment, N.Y. Veteran Volunteers First Annual Reunion and Dedication of
Monument at Gettysburg, Pa., July 3rd, 1889.² Your footnote indicates this
can be found in ³OCWGJ, Vol. 8, No. 4, page 163.² I am not familiar with
³OCWGJ.² Would you please let me know where I might find a copy of this
volume. I hope to see more of your work in the future. I enjoyed your
writing, and found your research thorough.

Respectfully yours,

Lew Gage
