Is enough credit given to General Doubleday for the actions of Stannard's men at the Angle?

Having studied, researched and written on the fighting at the Angle / Copse on July 3, I continue to find that tactical action the subject of many mysteries and myths. I will not take the time to give my opinions
on the correct answers to all the following (One can read my views in my two books Paddy Owen's Regulars
and At the Wall: the 69th Pa at Gettysburg)
Mysteries / Myths
1) How many companies of the 71st Pa were at the wall as Garnett approached?
(10 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 2)
2) What did the 59th NY do as Kemper approached the union line?
(break and run - sqeeze left and mingle with the 7th Mi - stand and fight)
3) What actions did the 72nd Pa take after Garnett took the wall?
(volley then pull back and hold - stand and volley - attack the rebel lines)
4) How many rebels crossed the wall with Armistead?
(300 - 150 - 50)
5) How many disgarded Georgia rifles from July 2 did the union troops gather and use on July 3?
(500 - 300 - 100)
6) Did the rebel breakl the union line in one or two or three places?
7) Could Pickett have carried the position if supported by the Confederate reserves?
(Thomas - Posey - Mahone - Wright)
there's always lots to chew on !!!
