I have foud your postings on this subject to be extremely interesting and 
excellently articulate in the matter of how historical analysis shoudl (and 
should not) be done.  Anybody who has been following this thread (I've been silent 
for the past week thanks to an unexpected hospital stay) knows where I stand 
on all this; but you have said it twenty times  better than I could hope to do 
so.
