GDG- pension amounts

Can someone please tell me the amount of, or tell me where I can look to find out, the pension amount for a brevet major general or a regular colonel in 1873?

  Still in the works are a book on the 1941 Dodgers and a book on Babe Ruth's ten years of barnstorming.
