No, they did not turn out to be cowards. At Harpers Ferry, however, all four 
of Willard's regiments surrendered having sustained less than 1% casualties 
combined ... hence, cowards!   Wasn't their fault, just happened that way.   
Percentages at time reflected a lot more when it came to performance, more so 
then today. Even today almost everything is based on percentages ... stockmarket, 
baseball stats, how much fat isina product,sugar, beating cancer, rainy days 
and of course military casualties.
