GDG- ACW Dog Tags

tour this past year and a gentlemen on the tour had a couple of dog tags
with him. One was very interesting because it was found at Antietam and the
man is buried in the cemetary there. He wrote  about this topic and
hopefully it will be something we can use to learn more about these suttler
tags.>>

For those who subscribe to Gettysburg Magazine, Joe Stahl has written a
number of articles on individual dog tags.  He is a collector, and
researches about the owner of these tags.  He has an article in Issue 35,
and it says that he has written six altogether.  Not sure whether he has
done an investigation of the extent of use of dog tags during the war.
