Terry (and hi Margaret)
At Normandy, Mary had to leave the National Cemetary (it is U.S soil-The
Cemetary manager has NC plates on his car), Mary felt a "strong presence".
Our son had srved in the first Gulf War so all those crosses of thing really
affects her.
The same thing happened the Arizona memorial-I think it was the father/son
thing.
I took John (The Gulf War Vet) to the burg two years ago and he, though he
didn't say mucxh but thanks, was moved.
I took my two 15 year old Grandsons to Arlington this past spring. The
changing of the gaurd was cool to them. On the way up though, we went past a
Military funeral down by the new section.
They didn't know what they were seeing until the shots went off. they went
numb-their older cousin is in the Marines and it was on their mind the rest
of the tip.
When I go up there this month, I expect some of the same feelings-they
always come.
T me, those are the Ghosts of Gettysburg and all the other fields of honer.
Not those trash talk stories.
I realize that Mr. Nesbitt has a right to make these things up, but it
denigrates and blurs the real stories.
If you want to see a Ghost at Gettysburg, read the "how to" book "The
Whispering Ghost Mystery" then set it up at the next Muster at the hot dog
roast. We'll get a crowd for sure.
Regards,
Jack
