I find it amazing that such a highly visible part (three lines of battle  
versus two) of such a famous action during the most famous battle ever fought on  
American soil should remain a mystery after all these years.   I  suppose it 
points out how very little we may really know about other  aspects of 
Gettysburg (and other Civil War events).  

And I share your admiration of Stewart's book.
