According to the "Round Table Review" column in Civil War News an
organization called the Association of Mid-Atlantic Civil War Round Tables
(AMART) has been in existance for some 13 years. Even though I have been a
member of Round Tables in Maryland and Delaware for about the past 20 years,
I have never heard of this organization.
It is described as a consortium comprised of some 12 Civil War history
groups and institutions from the Delawre Valley area. They are conducting
their annual symposium on September 22 on the topic of "History of the
Pennsylvania Reserve Corps: Shock Troops of the Union."
Has anyone had any experience with this group, and why do you think it is
not well known. Our R/T in Dover, Delaware is certainly "Mid-Atlantic,"
but, as far as I know, we have never been contacted by AMART to join.
