Long time no write - so here goes...
Are any GDG members experts on Edwin Forbes and
his Gettysburg Campaign artwork? If so contact
me off-line.
Are any GDG members experts on Alfred Waud and
his Gettysburg Campaign art? If so contact me
off-line.
Should they not happen to be GDG members, who
would you say are the current experts on Forbes
and Gettysburg? ...Waud and Gettysburg
(Campaign)?
Any articles published in the past on these
topics?
Just back from the Company of Military Historians
Annual Meeting in Williamsburg. If any GDG
members attend we should make a point of getting
together for a meal together in the future. I
had an interesting talk with 7 AUSTRALIAN Civil
War historians and collectors who were in the
States for the meeting.
Finally, what is the cut-off date for the GDG
Muster this year? I now have a commitment on
Saturday locally so I will only be able to attend
Friday as of now. But I do plan to bring the
updated 1863 BATTLE OF FALLING WATERS, MARYLAND
scrapbook and photos of the on-going work and
preservation as we strive to open it to the
public in the future (visitor center and all...).
Cheers!
