GDG- Protecting monuments

Hi, GDG!

Right on, Jim!  You bet DOT would do something!  How can we make them 
see that the veterans who once protected those tributes to their 
sacrifice are now gone?  Isn't it up to those of us who care to make 
the state of Pennsylvania, make that the federal government, see that 
the obligation to protect these monuments isn't just ours, or theirs, 
or just the Gettysburg park....rather it's the privilege of every 
American who understands what these tributes represent.  I think it's 
something along the line of  never forgetting what those who went 
before us left behind.  A sacred obligation.
