I think another contributing factor, is that of prominent role that 20th Maine played in the movie "Gettysburg". I don't believe Culp's Hill is addressed at all in the movie. Before the release of the movie, the 20th Maine monument was off the beaten track. Now, it has its own parking lot.

Hello,

As would a second day capture - and Culp's Hill was the key to that
capture. Besides the artillery, they would have been behind the Union line
and holding the Baltimore Pike.
