GDG- 20th Maine vs 137th NY

Holding the high ground on the flanks was obviously of great importance to 
the AoP.  My question is whether or not the 20th Maine's role on LRT was 
that much more important than that of the 137th NY on Culp's hill.  Would an 
ANV taking of the latter be significatly less important than taking of the 
former?  This is my first question as a new member of the GDG - I hope it is 
not too elementary.
