As we are visiting LBH in June - all
of my reading has been on that subject to the detriment of GB other than
this site. I have not read beyond the approach to the village in Gray's
book - interested in how he will deal with Custer's battlefield.
He pretty much follows Rich Fox's views in that regard.

My last
three books I have read have three different scenarios. Do you have any
major disagreement with Gray's book.

I believe that the battle events happened about 2 hours earlier in the day
than Gray does (and I find his reconstruction of the ride of the Arikara scouts
back from the Crow's Nest to the Seventh Cavalry's camp to be mildly absurd
-- a crippled gopher could have done it faster).

By the way have seen your name several
times in text and footnotes. Did not realize you were such a big wig in the
LBH world.

A moderate sized wig. But I have been fortunate in coming up with a few
ideas that others have found persuasive.
