GDG- History Day

Robert,
Now you and I both know there is a different opinion on this question
for everyone.
I have to keep in mind these are high school students that are giving
their opinion. I will judge the documentary fairly based on the research
done, and how they analyze that research. I also need to see how well
they apply this in explaining how it changed history, what they consider
the "Triumph and Tragedy," etc.
My Professor said to..."Give positive feedback, but also constructive
criticism. To repeat what I said above, how can the students improve
during the month before the state competition? What sources should they
consider? What interpretations? What additional information?"
There are very important things for a judge to consider and do during
this regional part of the competition. Things said by a judge can either
lead to further interest in history or close the door on the subject in
their mind forever. I do not intend on closing one door, no matter how
bad the documentary, if I can help it.
