Greetings Charlie - I know how you feel. I've gotten a renewed 
interest in the the Revolutionary war period in the past few years 
partially because I was interested in assessing the arguments for 
secession and the position of slavery (Lincoln's position, etc.) and 
partially because of modern politics (which would be a quick hook). I 
find the stuff really fascinating because we forget how complex a 
process it was. Most Americans tend to think that the whole 
Constitution and Bill of rights dropped out of the sky as a finished 
product, which of course is not the case.
