<< Hood was on the right flank and his troops needed to move farthest east
before swinging northeast to support McLaws Division's right flank, if
indeed that was his function. Thus, Law's Brigade --- the flank brigade ---
would need to move off before any other brigade in the division and then be
followed, after an undetermined wait, by the next brigade and so forth.  >>

He ended up to the right of McLaws, but that wasn't the original plan.
