Sorry folks.  I was just being a bit sarcastic.   Personally I find it 
difficult to think of Lee as such a great man when my opinion of "the
Cause' 
is not just about States rights, but at the core about the right to own
another human being.  Jackson is another that seems to be so Godly but ,
imho , hypocritical.


Perhaps Lee just didn't think he had anyone else that could do the job ?
