I agree 100%. But was there anyone else left in the bullpen. Were  there any 
others outside the Commonwealth of VA better suited for the  role of corps 
commander? Or were there any other Virginians who would have done  a better job 
than Ewell & Hill? Early? IIRC, Longstreet preferred McLaws, a  fellow Georgian 
& division commander under "Old Pete."
