You can dismiss quite a bit of Hunt's Battle and Leaders essay. It was
written long after the fight when Hunt was in the old soldiers home. I believe he
starts off with Day one. He was not there. What ever he wrote was second hand.
As a matter of fact, when Wright hit the Union line Hunt was Caldwell south of
the overrun batteries. Again, second hand. Yes, Wright accosted two batteries
as in Brown and Weir ... three if one is to count Lt. Livingston's section.
All were west of and south of the Copse of Trees.
