<< Jack and Jim, I do hope to see you on the field December 28 and we can
compare the evidence and consider what interpretation fits best.

Chuck,

At the risk of being overly blunt, I have yet to see you present a single,
solitary piece of anything that could even remotely be described as credible
evidence that Wright's brigade struck north of the Copse, and overran Arnold
and Cushing in the process. (And certainly not here on the GDG, where it
would be "too confusing" to do so.)

Further, and with all due respect, it's one thing to argue that Reynolds was
reckless, about what the Paine map actually depicts, or that Barlow's move
to the knoll was a brilliant idea. That's all just opinion. But when you
state as a fact that batteries that were never overrun, were overrun, simply
because they must have been overrun for your theory to work, that does real
violence to the historical record. It falsifies the history of the battle.
And presenting it in the context of a supposedly "educational" tour does a
serious disservice to those who may participate hoping to actually learn
something about Gettysburg.

Fellow esteemed member Mike Nugent, also familiar with the details from
other forums, has already described your theory as "little more than
fantasy", and I find no reason to dispute his opinion. You'll have to
excuse me if I decline to take part in what I would consider little more
than a farce.
