I have yet to see it.  (And to judge by the story I just read in the paper 
about it having had a very weak opening, despite generally good reviews, I'm 
not alone.)  I'd be interested to see how the film treats that myself.  The 
reviews I've read suggest the bond tour is presented as exploitative and 
crass.  Yet if the Iwo Jima Marines were exploited for puplicity purposes, 
they were not by any means the only war heroes to be returned to the States 
to participate in these tours.  Now, this certainly is exploitation, but to 
be fair, these bond drives were vitally important to the war effort.
