GDG- Belle Isle

 Many of the men who where sent to Belle Isle were processed at "Libby". This is why some of the compiled service records would misread the reader to thinking that the described non-officer soldier was sent to Libby.
 
Of the 17 men from the 69th Pa  "Irish Volunteers" captured at Gettysburg, several have records that show "Libby Prison" as location even though they were really sent to Belle Isle.
