Ive read that enlisted were held in Libby while awaiting transport 
elsewhere.

The service records of my G-G-Grandfather, a private in the 14th PA Cavalry, detail his being captured near Millwood, VA in December of 1864 and imprisoned in Libby Prison until February of 1865.
