GDG- What if Pickett's charge had worked?

Lee? One must assume that he thought it *would* work, so what did he
expect to happen after that? >>

Exactly what would have been done to exploit any success gained by the 
assaulting formations is far from clear.  Specific instructions appear to 
have been lacking.
