GDG- House Question

Toby,
That would be the Philip Snyder house. It was there during the battle, and
was occupied by Confederates until they withdrew on July 4. The owner and
his two sons had abandoned the house soon after the fighting began on July
1.
According to the Gettysburg Battlefield Farmsteads Guide, the NPS has
extensively renovated the house. It is not to be confused with the John
Slyder farm house that is located east of the Emmittsburg Road and a little
further south of the Snyder house, just beyond the Bushman farm.

Subject: GDG- House Question
Esteemed GDG Member Contributes:
Hello All:
What is the white house that is located at the intersection of Confederate
Avenue and the Emmittsburg Road? As drive south towards Emmittsburg, it
would be on your right side. There is no marker for this house, so I am not
sure it is a house that was there during the battle or not.
Would anyone be able to tell me a little about this house?
Thanks
Toby
