If you live in Pennsylvania and are opposed to the proposed casino in Gettysburg then please consider writing a letter to the editor of the
Gettysburg Times. All anti casino letters are helpful but those from Pennsylvania residents tend to get more attention then those from out of state groups.
This Casino is not a "done deal" and Civil War groups are the only thing standing in the way of it being built. This fight is on our home soil and
if we all take a few minutes out of our schedule to write a quick, thoughtful, letter it could make all the difference. We need to show the
Casino advocates and our state legislature that history is still important to the people of this state.
The following is the format that the Gettysburg Times requires for its Letters to the Editor section. Please make sure you include your real
name, address, and phone number they will usually call to ensure that you actually wrote the letter before they publish it. They will not publish
any personal information other then your name. Anonymous letters are usually disregarded.
Letters should be no longer than 300 words and must include a name, address
and daytime telephone number for verification.
They may be edited for brevity or clarity.
They may be emailed to this address: editor at gburgtimes.com
Or send by regular mail to
