GDG- #s of troops; was: Southern PA

Somewhere I read that KY supplied fewer white troops as a percentage of
population than any other state, and more black troops.

I was just looking in Phisterer's Statistical Record, page 10, and his
table 
shows that none of the established states even met their quota.   Kansas was

the only state over its quota except for Tennessee, Arkansas and  North
Carolina that had about a 4000 man quota between the three and ended up
sending over 36,000 (I'm sure that figure is heavily influenced by black
regiments).  
Phisterer doesn't have population figures so %enlisted is  unknown.
