Pfanz's reconstruction of events is that Wright's left wing pushed up towards
(but not into) the Copse of Trees but that the "penetration" occurred south
of the Copse where Wright's right wing found a gap in the Union infantry line.
And that the penetration was very quickly and effectively opposed by Union
forces in the area.
