Alice,
Mark told us that when the house came on the market (someone else owned it
by this point in time), the school contacted Mary Tyler Moore and asked her
if she would be interested in buying her old family home and donating it to
the University as a CW Center. She agreed and asked that it be named for
her late father George Tyler Moore.
You are probably right about Mark staying there when he needs to stay over.

The George Tyler Moore Center for the Study of the Civil War is
headquartered in an historic house that Mary Tyler Moore donated to
Shepherd College for the center. Mark probably stays there when he
can't make it to the 'burg.
