Kieth,
I accept. Jim said you were an interesting guy and I like your choice of venue. Winner picks up the tab....... and hands it to Jim.

Rich: I do the same thing with crucible of courage, the first real book I read about gettysburg. I'm always amazed at how much I don't retain. As far as Longstreet, with hindsight always 20/20 and Jim constantly bragging on you as the smart one, I'll temporarily concede. But you and I are going to pound some beers over this someday, of that you may rest assured!

Kieth,
I bought Tucker's book last summer from Morningside - don't recall the cost, but $6 sounds reasonable. Interesting book - different look at the battle in some respects. Even enjoyed the few things that even I knew were wrong. Phanz is a must in my opinion - although some folks I consider very well versed on the battle have taken issue with some of his interpretation(s). LOTS of info in there and his others books too. Sometimes I grab it, open to any page and just start reading - always find something I missed or forgot through the years. Enjoy

BR, Rich

PS- Longstreet was right (IMHO)before, during AND after :)
