Hi,
Rather than Carlisle (unless you want to stop at the Army War college, I
would suggest the Gettysburg Pike which is Route 15.
You could also take the Route 997 exit (Blue Mountain maybe). Then take
997 South through Scotland and end up on Route 30 between Chambersburg
and Gettysburg. This is a nice scenic alternative. However, I
personally like the Route 30 between Breezewood and Gettysburg, but
that's just me.
Mr. Christen, I would be interested in hearing more about the work your
wife is doing for the Discovery channel. Is she doing this at Old
Bedford Village?
Thanks,
Jim

It may seem like it is going out of the way, but it is all freeway and divided highway--faster than any other route. Beside that, you are within thirty minutes of Antietam--why not stop and take a look at the ground where the Second Wisconsin fought in 1862?

Came out on the turnpike from Michigan last Thursday with out any major delay. You will find construction near Toledo and we hit one spot of construction in PA, which had a backup, but it was daily work and not permanent.
