My fave civil war movie is Ride With The Devil by Ang Lee.

I believe the final scene of Cold Mountain is influenced by Ride With The 
Devil.

Gettysburg is too drawn out, especially Pickett's Charge.
GAG - ech - gag me. It is truly one of the worse dramas I have seen.

Glory is a great film.
Red Badge of Courage is fantastic.

Isn't Spielberg supposed to do a Lincoln film?
