The things I hated about GAG were the nonstop barrage of Jackson's 
saintliness.    Also the ommision of the scene from the book at the 
beginning in California when the war started, as well as  leaving out many 
of the major battles.

I think the biggest concern of many was that it seemed to minimize
slavery. When I saw the scene where Longstreet was praying with HIS
slave that someday HIS slave would be free I was thinking "gag me with a
spoon".
